Time and Edmund chose to hold their wedding at Leeds Castle, Kent and it is one of the counties most prestigious and well known castles holding many events through out the year. It is a venue only 20 minutes from where I live and a venue I am familiar with, it doesn’t disappoint in terms of history and grandeur. Although they both live and work in London, Timea’s mother lives in Folkstone, which is where I first met them and got to know them a little when I did their pre wedding photo shoot.
Arriving at midday I found Timea along with her mum, grandmother and bridesmaids all getting ready in one of the many beautiful rooms within the castle, each quietly doing what they needed to do, there was definitely an air of calm rather than chaos. The only anxiety shown was from Timea, who was a little worried that the men wouldn’t be ready on time, but she needn’t have worried, they only ever seem to need 20 mins!
Edmund and Timea really couldn’t have looked happier together and their parents and friends couldn’t have looked happier for them. With time on the lawn area to for everyone to enjoy drinks and the beautiful scenery after the ceremony and then a golf buggy ride around the moat for me and the couple to find some areas for photos, it was all planned perfectly. The only thing I would have liked to have done is take the couple for some more photos of the two of them when the sun set, it was spectacular.
As first dances go Timea and Edmunds was one of the best I’ve seen, they had obviously taken some time and effort to learn not one but three, including a waltz, and my hat goes off to them, they were brilliant!
