It seems to have been a never ending winter this year but finally the weather improved and we had one of the best days so far for Charlotte and Chris’s wedding at Mersham Church & The Secret Garden with some beautiful blue sky and sunshine!
Charlotte and Chris are two very lovely people who I was fortunate enough to get introduced to through a friend of mine and when they decided to get married, we met up, had a chat about their day and they then asked if I’d be their wedding photographer, of course I said I would love to!
They were married in Mersham Church near Ashford in Kent, just a few hundred yards from Charlotte’s parents house, it’s a beautiful little church and although I wasn’t able to take any photos from the front during the service, the stained glass window at the back made a gorgeous backdrop. Charlotte looked stunning in her dress which was so pretty and suited her down to the ground and with Chris looking sharp in his suit they made a great looking couple. Following their ceremony we headed a couple of minutes down the road for the reception which was being held at The Secret Garden which is a fantastic Kent Wedding venue with a beautiful garden area, although, like everywhere, was quite behind in terms of plant growth because of the weather.
Wedding photography to me means capturing as much of the day as possible so at the reception I got some shots of the room and the details, followed by the guests together with the bride and groom enjoying a drink and a chat. Then before the wedding breakfast I took the couple outside for some portraits, I love this part of the proceedings as the couple can finally just take a breath from the events of the day, relax and just enjoy each others company for 15 minutes while I capture the love and happiness between them both. Once the speeches were completed I had to rush off as I was heading to Bath for my best friends wedding the next day, I had been invited to stay which I would have loved to do as I’m sure the party was a good one. Here are just a few from the day.
