Finally I have a little time to catch up with myself and post a few of the wonderful weddings I have covered over the summer, starting with Heidi and James who got married on the 20th July this year. I was very happy to be booked by Heidi and James as their wedding photographer after Heidi had seen her friends wedding photos that I took, where she had been a bridesmaid last year.
I met with them both for the first time to do their pre wedding shoot and immediately knew their wedding would be a real pleasure to photograph as they are such easy going and friendly people, really easy to talk to and work with. The ceremony took place in The Methodist Church in Canterbury city center and after starting with Heidi to photograph her getting ready I drove down to the church to photograph James and the guests arriving. It wasn’t long until Heidi arrived with her dad among a gathering crowd of admiring Saturday afternoon shoppers and upon stepping out of the car she was greeted by cheers and applause. Heidi looked stunning and extremely relaxed, clearly enjoying her big day and James upon seeing Heidi for the first time looked a very happy man. The exchange of loving glances and giggles between the two of them showed how they felt about each other, and the service reflected this.
The reception venue was the Ward Rooms in Chatham and was about 40 minutes drive from the church but Heidi and James had been lucky and won the use of it for their reception in a competition, helping the budget somewhat. It’s a beautiful building providing plenty of outdoor and indoor space with very impressive function room which looked spectacular. I had a full day with Heidi and James and was able to get some lovely shots of them outside in front of the building before it got dark as well as some of the dancing once it got going which is always great fun and ensures every bit of their day is covered. Here are just a few of my favourites and it just leaves me to say all the very best for the future and thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day.
